Curaçao Wins the 2026 Little League World Series
Pariba Little League, out of Willemstad, just beat Nevada 11-2 to win the 2026 Little League World Series. It's Curaçao's first title since 2004. We watched every pitch with the rest of the island, and we're not done celebrating.

On Sunday, August 30, Pariba Little League beat Paseo Verde Little League of Henderson, Nevada, 11-2, to win the 2026 Little League World Series.
Curaçao's first championship in 22 years. Our second title ever.
If you were anywhere near a TV, a phone, or another human being on this island that day, you know exactly what that felt like.
An Island of 150,000 People, One Team on the Biggest Stage in Youth Baseball
These kids went 6-0 through the whole tournament. Undefeated. Jaymiëll Martina struck out twelve batters in the international championship to get them to the final. In the final itself, Juriënsly De Windt broke the game open with a three-run double in the fifth inning, and Steven Felix closed it out on the mound.
Eleven runs. Two outs away from a mercy rule. Against a Nevada team that had earned its own spot in that final.
This island produces baseball talent way out of proportion to its size, and everyone here knows it. Curaçao's last LLWS title, back in 2004, came from a team that later sent Jurickson Profar and Jonathan Schoop to the big leagues. Watching this year's team, it's hard not to wonder who from this roster we'll be watching on TV in fifteen years.
We're not going to pretend E-Wheels had anything to do with the win. We're a scooter tour company.
What we did was the same thing every other business and every other household on this island did: we watched, we followed every game, and we cheered like it mattered, because it did.
That's what a small island does well. When one team from Willemstad is playing for a world title, the whole island shows up for them, whether you're at the game, in front of a TV at a bar in Otrobanda, or checking the score between tours.
Willemstad has been loud with pride this week. Flags out, horns going, people talking about that fifth-inning double like they were standing in the batter's box themselves. If you're on island right now, you can feel it just walking through Punda or Otrobanda.
We ride those same streets every day. Come see the city while it's still buzzing, and we'll point out where the celebrations have been loudest.
