Queen Emma Bridge Closed: What It Means For Your Tour
The Queen Emma Bridge is closed for repairs until Sep 26, 2026. Here's how your E-Wheels scooter tour is affected and what we're doing about it.
Heads Up: The Queen Emma Bridge Is Closed
If you've got an E-Wheels tour booked between now and September 26, 2026, read this first.
Curaçao Ports Authority is closing the Queen Emma Bridge (the famous floating pedestrian bridge connecting Punda and Otrobanda) for maintenance work from August 2 through September 26, 2026. Since a chunk of our tours cross that bridge, here's exactly how it affects you and what we're doing to keep your visit smooth.
## What's Changing
**1. Punda Historic & Arts Tour, The Snuba Experience, SeaTrek Experience, and The Aqua Jet Experience**
These will all start from Waaigat Parking Area Punda, instead of their usual meeting point at the Cruise Terminal. Same great tour, just a different starting and ending line.
**2. Willemstad Historic & Arts (our Punda/Otrobanda combo tour)**
This one's paused for the whole closure period. Since it relies on crossing the bridge, we can't run it as normal until the bridge reopens. We'll pick it back up the moment it's back in service.
**3. Willemstad Museum Tour**
We're splitting this into two options while the bridge is out:
- Punda side only, starting at Waaigat Parking Area Punda
- Otrobanda side only, starting at the cruise terminal
50% discount on this tour!
## Cruise Ship Passengers, This One's For You
If you're coming off a cruise ship, Waaigat is about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the cruise terminal. Plan a little extra time to get there. There's a ferry running between Otrobanda and Punda you can hop on . Regular hours are 6:00 AM to 10:45 PM (until midnight on Thursdays). Curaçao Ports Authority is also running a shuttle bus between 10:30 PM and 6:00 AM (11:30 PM to 6:00 AM on Thursdays) for anyone crossing late, departing about once an hour.
## Got Questions?
Every itinerary is a little different right now, so if you're not sure how this affects your specific booking, just reach out. We're happy to walk you through your options, adjust your start point, or help you coordinate timing around the ferry. Message us anytime, we'd rather sort it out with you ahead of time than have you guessing on the day.
Thanks for your patience while Curaçao gets this bridge back in shape. See you on the scooters.
